Mesotherapy is a means of delivering pharmaceutical agents into the middle layer (mesoderm) of the skin. It is a non-invasive method of injecting vitamins, minerals, plant extracts, enzymes, and medicines into specifically targeted areas of the body. Different medications are administered at different depths, depending on the treatment being performed.
Mesotherapy is used to treat all cases of cellulite. It gets results by targeting the underlying causes of cellulite – not just the outward symptoms. The medicines used in mesotherapy break up the connective tissue bands in the treated area. This increases fat cell membrane permeability, allowing the fatty tissue to leave the cell. Cellulite usually appears between the ages of 25 and 35, and progressively worsens with time. Although it’s easily treated with a few Mesotherapy sessions in its early stages, once cellulite progresses to more advanced stages, treatment usually requires a greater number of Mesotherapy sessions.
